Wojciech Streicher graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Technical University of West Pomerania in Poland and completed his studies at the School of Design and Technology in Copenhagen. From the beginning, his motivation has been to create something real, to improve public and private spaces, both visually and functionally.
After his studies in Denmark, he went to Paris, where he joined Jean Nouvel’s studio as a young intern and worked on the Louvre project in Abu Dhabi. A professional opportunity then opened up in London, where he worked for over a year as head of works at the Grimshaw agency. He worked on the extension of Waterloo Station and the construction of Euston Station. Other positions in London gave him the opportunity to work on luxury housing programmes. It was at this point that he realised he preferred to work on residential projects.
Project manager at Valentine Bärg since January 2021, he is particularly involved in the construction phase: analysis of environmental, regulatory and technical constraints, execution plans, specifications, checking technical details for contractors, etc.
“He particularly enjoys getting to know the people for whom the project is intended in order to tailor it to their needs.”
From a technical point of view, the ups and downs of construction sometimes present their own difficulties. In particular, he recalls a complex project of detached villas where all kinds of difficulties were to be expected. Not a very large villa on a sloping site, with different levels, a swimming pool, a spa, a green roof… But none of this has discouraged Wojciech, who has kept his competitive spirit and lives in Geneva between his professional projects and his windsurfing and kitesurfing sessions.
